Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of ligustrazine on the expression of TNF-α、IL-4 and IFN-γin rats with liver fibrosis. Methods Eighty SD rats were randomly devided into normal group(N group),model group(M group),test group(T group)and control group(R group).Hepatic fibrosis was induced by subcutaneous injection of carbon tetrachloride.Ligustrazine was given 80 mg/kg once daily by intraperitoneal injection in T group, and 0.9%normal saline solution was given 80 mg/kg once daily in R group for 8 weeks.Hepatic fibrosis was assessed through HE staining and semi-quantitative scaling system(SSS).The expression of TNF-α、IL-4 and IFN-γwere detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR).Results The degree of hepatic fibrosis in T group was obviously reduced when compared with R group(P0.05).Compared with N group, the expression of TNF-αand IL-4 in M group were elevated significantly, whereas the expression of IFN-γwas decreased.Compared with M group, the expression of TNF-α and IL-4 in T group were decreased significantly, whereas the expression of IFN-γwas increased. Conclusion Ligustrazine has obvious therapeutic effect on rats with liver fibrosis. The mechanism may be correlated to interfering the disturbance of some cytokines such as TNF-α、IL-4 and IFN-γ.
