National Innovation Competitiveness and Economic Growth——Based on Panel Data of G20

Innovation drive is the senior stage to promote national competitiveness,and also the new stage for a country to promote economic growth whose comparative advantage relying on low cost and huge material input.Innovation competitiveness has become the more and more important factor to improve the national competitiveness and economic growth.This paper analyzes the relationship between innovation competition and economic growth,and the concept and elements of national innovation competitiveness,with witch makes a model for empirical analysis based on panel data of G20.The results show that some developed countries have gone into the stage of innovation driver,but the emerging economies including China,are still in the stage of elements driver or investment drive.In order to strength up national competitiveness considerably,China should speed up the implementation of national innovation strategy,and make innovation in leading role to promote economic growth,through promoting national innovation competitive.
