The Affecting Factors of Mercury in Soil and Progress of Remediation Technologies in Mercury Mines

Abstract

Taking mercury mines of Wanshan( Guizhou) for an example,the authors introduced the impact of exploitation and smelting activities of mercury on the environmental pollution. Furthermore,the influencing factors of migration and transformation of mercury in soil were summarized. Finally,the achievement of remediation technology in mercury contaminated soils in the recent years and the suggestion of implementation were discussed.
