Abstract
Dibutyl maleate is prepared from maleic anhydride and n-butyl alcohol in the presence of ammonium ferric sulfate dodecahydrate. The yield of the ester can reach 94.7% under mole ratio of maleic anhydride,n-butyl alcohol and ammonium ferric sulfate dodecahydrate are 1∶4∶0.083,and reaction time of 110~120min at reflaxing temperature.$$$$
