Abstract

We developed an actual simulating virtual machining environment based on the research of the Virtual Reality technology and the NC machining techniques. It mainly includes the scenes of workshop , machine and jig,etc.. The workshop have five machines including three-axis machining center ,which realize the capacity of machining simulation of machines, and the Workshop can be roamed by users .This virtual machining environment can also assess the machinability of parts ,the rationability of machine and tool parameters meanwhile the NC codes can be tested in this environment. This paper focuses on the modeling of constructing the virtual machining environment and the function model of the virtual machining environment. The main contents are as follows: 1.Constructing the model of machining features of the equipment. 2.Describing the geometrical modeling of equipment. 3.Constructing the kinematical model of machining center. 4.The model of data flow during the simulation process of the virtual machining environment.
