Abstract

Objective To observe the blood supply of lung cancer using bronchial arterial and pulmonary arterial CT angiography(CTBA,CTPA).Methods Six patients with lung cancer were prospectively studied.CTBA and CTPA were performed on the 6 patients after digital subtraction angiography of bronchial artery and pulmonary artery.Blood supply of the lung cancer from bronchial artery or pulmonary artery was observed. Results On CTPA,tumor demonstrated no enhancement when no enhancement was observed in body artery and left atrium or ventricle, and enhancement(CT enhancing values were 10.0-45.6 Hu) of the peripheral area of the cancer was observed when systemic artery and left atrium or ventricle demonstrated enhancement. On CTBA,diffuse tumor vessels and partial tumor enhancement(CT enhancing values were 150.3-320.7 Hu) were observed in all cases, and hilar and(or) mediastinal lymph node enhancement was demonstrated in 3 cases. Conclusion Bronchial artery and other multiple systemic artery were blood supply artery of lung cancer. The pulmonary artery was not found to participate in the blood supply of cancer.
