Abstract
The Nd-based BR is the major material of tread compound and sidewall compound. The molar mass which strongly influences the performance of raw rubbers during the preparation of rubber compounds could be controlled in the polymerization process. The main factors influencing the molar mass of BR include the polymerization temperature;nM/nNd;ncocatalyst/nNd and the primary additive. This paper concluded the effect of them, emphatically discussed the effect of ncocatalyst/nNd ratio from two aspects of binary-Nd catalyst systems and ternary-Nd catalyst systems and compared their influence efficiency, then presented the methods controlling molar mass, and their relative merits.
