The Academic Course of Feminist Music Criticism in America

Based on the Feminist movement and the Feminist trend of thought in literature and art in the 1960s and 1970s,reflections on the development and evolution of western music history from the feminist perspective have become an important branch of AmericanNew and influenced the development trend of American Musicology after the 1990s.Since then,previously overlooked women and gender issues have got the attention of the academia in music.This article mainly discusses the academic course as well as the influence of feminist music criticism from the academic point of view.
