Abstract

This article defines the term “economic diplomacy” and points out the importance of carrying out economic diplomacy at present. Also, it elaborates China’s practice in economic diplomacy within four historic periods from the 1950s till now to argue for the positively interactive relation between economy and diplomacy. Besides, it analyzes where the art of economic diplomacy is on the basis of China’s practice in economic diplomacy as the study for the way to realize China’s current diplomatic objective.
