Vascular Plant in Fujian Province:Species Diversity and Distribution Pattern

Fujian province is rich in vascular plant,which in terms of plant diversity in China,it comprises 250 families,1 611 genera,4 839 species(including subspecies and variant species).In the province,the vascular plants are mainly distributed in Wuyi and Daiyun Mountains,especially the north part of Wuyi Mountain which is famous for its vascular plant′s high species richness and rich endemic species.In fact the area is one of 11 globally significant biodiversity conservation critical areas in China.The middle part of the Wuyi Mountain is an area where not only nature reserves intensively distribute,but is also the richest area in plant diversity.The middle part of the Daiyun Mountain,whose core area is Daiyun Mountain National Nature Reserve,contains large areas of south subtropical monsoon evergreen broad-leave forest,with a big wealth of plant diversity.The Boping Ridges,which are located at south of the Daiyun Mountain,is a typical area of south subtropical rain forest ecological system in the province,with unique plant species and plant diversity.In coastal wetlands of the province,there are few species of vascular plants,but with its outstanding regional characteristics,the vascular plants there are still important for the province.
