Abstract
A method to preparation of modified polyepoxysuccinic acid by using maleic anhydride and sulfourea was introduced. The performance of calcium scale inhibition by SPESA was compared with that by PAA,PESA and HPMA.The results showed that when the dosage of SPESA was 50 mg · L- 1,the scale inhibition performance on calcium carbonate was equal to that of other water treatment agent with the scale inhibition rate of 93. 26%. However,the efficiency of calcium phosphate scale inhibition by SPESA was superior to that by conventional water treatment agents with the scale inhibition rate of 79. 14% when the dosage was 50 mg·L- 1.
