Study on the Characteristics of The Industrial Transformation for Guangzhou Since 1995

This paper makes a detailed analysis of industrial transformation since 1995,taking Guangzhou as the research object as well as using the coefficient of industrial transformation,the principal component analysis process and the shift-share method.The study finds that the rapid period of industrial transformation of Guangzhou is around 1999,and that of service industries is subsequent.Meanwhile,the industrial internal growth rate has showed differences,and competitive advantage industries also have changed,but the leading industries are still without replacement since 1995.Also,the service industrial internal growth rate has larger distinction and realized gradually the high-valued transformation,which the status of productive services in total services has been enhanced.In addition,the industrial transformation of Guangzhou is still at the initial stage so that need experience a longer period whether industries or service industries.In the process,traditional industries none the less play an important role on the economic development.Finally,the paper puts forward some suggestions such as the great development of strategic emerging industries,and the active development of modern service industries,the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and so on.
