Abstract
The influence of grazing disturbance on plant and animal community, soil nutrients, soil microbial activities and grassland degradation were reviewed. The optimum grazing strategies of alpine grassland were also put forward. The healthy development of alpine grassland ecosystem and the sustainable development of stock raising were promised only after optimum stocking intensities and strategies were chosen correctly.
