Abstract
Cr3C2-NiCr coating was sprayed by plasma spraying on the mold CuNiCoBe alloy plates. The influence of plasma spraying parameters on the bonding strength of coatings was studied by orthogonal test. The fracture and microstructure of the coating was observed, and microhardness of the coating was tested. The results showed that the powder feed rate and flow rate of argon had more effect on the bonding strength of the coating and copper substrate. The best technological parameter was spraying distance 90 mm,flow rate of argon 56.6 L/min,powder feed rate 20 g/min and power 25 kW.The highest bonding strength of the coating and the substrate was higher than 18.5 MPa.The microhardness of the coating outstandingly followed normal distributions.
