Abstract
Nanocrystalline ZrO_2/Al_2O_3 composite powders are synthesized successfully from aqueous solution of metal nitrate containing citric acid as chelating agent by sol-gel method. The construct and phase purity of the powders are analyzed by means of XRD.And the two key factors, initial solution concentration and the heat decomposition temperature of the gel are studied. From the experiment we can get the conclusions that when the initial solution concentration is 0.6mol/L and the heat decomposition temperature is 1200℃,we can get the best result. The size of ZrO_2/Al_2O_3composite powders made in the best parameters range from 30nm to 41nm.
