Abstract
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs)as flame retardants in polymeric materials for fire safety of home products are new global environmental pollutants.Humans exposure to PBDEs mainly through foods, indoor air, etc.Levels of PBDEs in environmental medias and human body increased significantly in last 30 years.Laboratory data showed that PBDEs exposure could disturb endocrine function such as thyroid and sex hormone.Although mechanisms are not clear,PBDEs were found to induce toxicity to liver, nervous system, reproduction, and human development. However, limited data on human were reported.Environmental PBDEs pollution was found in China and more research are needed in China to evaluate environmental and human health risks from PBDEs exposure.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
