Abstract
Objective: To study the value of hysteroscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility caused by intrauterine lesions.Methods: A total of 1 405 cases has been diagnosed and treated by hysteroscopy since December 2003 to December 2005 were retrospectively reviewed.Results: Hysteroscopic examinations found among the 1 405 cases,including 497 cases of intrauterine adhesions(497/1 405,35.4%),397 cases of endometrial polys and myoma(397/1 405,28.2%),241 cases of fallopian tube obstruction(241/1 405,17.2%),30 cases of foreign matters residue(30/1 405,(2.2%)) and 121 cases of uterine cavity abnormality(121/1 405,8.6%).The remaining 119 cases(119/1 405,8.5%) were normal.Conclusion: Hysteroscopy is an effective and economical method to diagnose and treat intrauterine diseases for outpatients.
