Abstract
The effect of lilium extract on scavenging free radical ·OH, which was produced from a stable fenton reaction system of Fe(Ⅱ)-H_2O_2, was studied via photometric determination of change of absorbance of the color reagent bromopyrogallol red. The comparative study of scavenging action of some common anti-oxidants showed that lilium extract has a better effect on scavenging free radical ·OH. The present method was proved to be simple and rapid for operation and provided the theoretical basis for developing the lilium as a healthy articles.
