Abstract
Based on Landsat remote sensing data and using GIS method, this paper studies the spatial distribution pattern variations of land use in Ejina region from 1986 to 2000,with the result that the areas of grassland, forestland, water bodies and cultivated land were decreased in those 14 years, while the areas of residential and industrial lands and the unused lands were remarkably increased. The dynamic land use changes were mainly characterized by the transformation of grassland and forestland into unused land and grassland respectively, and the conversion of the unused land to grassland. The spatial transformation area of land use was lager than the amount of changes all over the region, with climate changes and human activities as the main causes of land use changes in the region.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
