Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of exercise training on adiponectin expression in circulation and fat tissue of rats with insulin resistance. Methods:The 29 SD rats were randomized into 2 groups: control group(9 rats) and made model group(20 rats). After fed for 6 weeks, there were 18 rats developed obvious insulin resistance(IR)in made model group(tredted with high-fathigh-sucrose diet). The 18 rats with insulin resistance were randomized divided into 2 groups: model group(n=9) and exercise group(n=9).The serum adiponectin concentration was measured by ELISA,adiponectin mRNA expression in fat tissue was measured by RT-PCR.Results:Compared with control group, the IR significantly increased [insulin sensitivity index(ISI)(-4.11±0.33)vs.(-5.32±0.21),P0.01],serum adiponectin concentration(ngml)significantly decreased [(0.86±0.08)vs.(0.77±0.09),P0.05],adiponectin mRNA expression in fat tissue significantly decreased(P0.05)in model group. After 6 weeks exercise training, compared with model group, the IR significantly decreased [ISI(-5.51±0.16)vs.(-5.10±0.31),P0.01],serum adiponectin concentration(ngml)significantly increased[(0.77±0.09),(0.86±0.10),P0.05],adiponectin mRNA expression in fat tissue significantly increased(P0.05)in exercise group. Conclusion:Exercise training can significantly improve insulin resistance, and modulate the expressions of adiponectin in fat tissue.
