Abstract
Jane Austen is one of the most outstanding female writers in the history of British literature. On one hand, her works expose strong advanced feminism rebelling against the patriarchy;on the other hand, limited by the circumstances and times, her ideology is interwined with the advanced and the backward. However, the conflicts between the rebellious and conservative ideology are inevitable at the time when feminism first sprouts and are proofs of Austen's hard experiences of writing for feminism in the patriarchy.
