Review on biocatalytic synthesis of R-mandelic acid

Abstract

R-Mandelic acid is an important medicinal intermediate for the production of pharmaceuticals and is also used as a chiral resolving agent.Many biocatalysts including oxidoreductases,lipase and nitrilase were developed to synthesize R-mandelic acid.In this work,a comprehensive review of the biocatalytic methods to produce R-mandelic acid has been shown.
