Metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets in the treatment of essential hypertension and the intervention effect of vascular endothelial function

Abstract
Objective To study of metoprolol in the treatment of essential hypertension and the intervention of vascular endothelial function. Methods 60 patients with primary hypertension patients were divided into the control group and the observation group. The control group was treated with amlodipine, and the observation group was treated with amlodipine and metoprolol. Results After treatment, blood pressure and heart rate of patients in both group were significantly improved. Blood pressure and heart rate of the observation group were better than the control group,which had significant difference (P 0.05 or 0.01). After treatment, two groups of ET-1, NO, FMD were significantly improved. Conclusion Metoprolol can reduce blood pressure and improve endothelial function.
