Abstract
Objective: To study the role of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in the occurrence and progress of Diabetic Retinopathy(DRP).Methods: The aqueous humor VEGF concentration was measured by an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).result: The aqueous humor VEGF levels in aged-related cataract with type 2 diabetes group were higher than in aged-related cataract group. Conclusion: VEGF play an important role in the onset and development of DRP.
