Estimate of Heritability of Ecomomic Trait for Qinghai Highland Semifine-wool Sheep with Dual-purpose Type of Wool and Meat

The Qinghai highland semifine-wool sheep with Dual-purpose type of wool and meat in Chaidamu region of Qinghai province wese used to estimate the hericability of nine main economic traits of them.The results showed that the birth weight,the weaning weight,the yearling wool yield,the wool fineness,the staple length,the body weight before shearing and the fleece weight were the traits which had high-heritability and these traits were main selective basis in the breeding process of Qinghai highland semifine-wool sheep with dual-purpose type of wool and meat.There was a strong positive heredity-correlatiou between the weaning weight and the fleece weight,the yearling wool yeild and the fleece weight,the body weight before shearing and the fleece weight,and the weaning weight should be regarded as the paramerer of early selection for the fleece weight,There was the negation heredity-correlation between the weaning weight and the wool fineness.
