Abstract
Screening suitable solvent is of importance, since solvent plays an important role in resolution process.Resolution solvent is one of critical conditions for optical resolution by crystallization.Study on both resolution solvent and effect of solvent on resolution of racemate via diastereomeric salt formation is helpful to control configuration of the crop,to improve efficiency and economy of the resolution process, and to understand further chiral discrimination mechanism involved in diastereomeric resolution. In the present paper, the solvent dependency of resolution efficiency, solvate formation and of the configuration of the excess enantiomer in the less-soluble diastereomeric salt are reviewed.
