Woody Wild Ornamental Plants Resources and Evaluation in Ganjiangyuan Nature Reserve of Jiangxi Province

Abstract
According to the different functions in landscape of plants,the woody wild ornamental plants resources of 1584 wild seed plants which belong to 648 genera and 163 families in Ganjiangyuan Nature Reserve were analyzed and evaluated.And 325 species of wild ornamental plants which belong to 202 genera and 8 families were selected.The woody wild ornamental plants in the reserve are abundant in species and types,flora composition is plentiful,rare and endangered species are ample.The wild ornamental plants were divided into 9 kinds according to the characteristics of landscape application,including shade trees,street trees,specimen trees,flowering shrubs,vertical green trees,hedge plants,ground cover plants,potted and modeling plants and color-leaves tree species.Based on the characteristics of the wild ornamental plants and the storage quantity of resources in the reserve,32 species were recommended as the key developing and utilizing ornamental plants.At last,some suggestions of developing and protecting the wild ornamental plants resources were put forward.
