Abstract
City Xingtai is a part of North China Plain, the typical area in over-exploitation of groundwater.Through analysis of regional groundwater exploitation and its relationship with environmental change, there happens a close relation with the deterioration of groundwater environment, groundwater exploitation increased and river seepage decreased and other factors, which revealed the regional characteristics of a significant overall decline in groundwater level and caused some environmental problems due to over-exploitation groundwater in the Plain of Xingtai city.Facing to the present situation of growing deterioration in groundwater quality and groundwater environment, the article puts forward the rational exploitation measures and countermeasures for the region.
