Relationship Between XUN Zi and the Book of Songs

Abstract
Even the fact that Lu-Shi has been imparted by XUN Zi is no doubt, but the opinion that Mao-shi was also imparted by him is suspecious. It has no relation between the impartation of Mao-shi and XUN Zi. On the base of these viewpoints, the author makes a further study and points out that, the way of his academic studies about mixing learning with its use, but no upholding hollow words, changed the role of the Book of Songs from the auxiliary of Music into the auxiliary of Rites. In the process of cultural reconstruction, the Book of Songs becomes the royal leanings again, and plays an important role in the Classic Politics of the Han-Imperial-Court.
