Abstract
In the region of Qianfoya Formation, alluvial fan, meander river, delta and lacustrine deposits are developed. And in the meander river area, there are 2 developed subfacies of flood plain and river channel. In the delta area,3 subfacies of delta front, delta plain and fore-delta.In the lacustrine facies area, there are 2 developed subfacies of shallow lake and lakeside. The alluvial fan facies can be divided into 2 subfacies of midfan and fan-end.The periodic nappe structure movement is the main control factor of sedimentation and stratigraphic sequence development in West Sichuan foreland basin.
