Summary of application of DICOM technology in PACS system

Abstract

The PACS plays an important role in modern hospital's rapid informationization development,and DICOM is the standard of medical image format and medical image transmission protocol in PACS.This paper illuminates the current situation of the PACS system based on DICOM standard at home and abroad,elaborates the PACS system by its application classification,and makes a classification study on the PACS's application in DICOM as well as discusses the outlook of DICOM used in PACS.
