Abstract

Objective Chemical constituents of the volatile oils from Medlar wered studied. Methods The volatile oils from Medlar were extracted by stream distillation, solvent extraction and microwave assisted stream distillation, whose chemical components were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass(GC/MS),and adopted the peak area normalizing to quantitate. Results 45 compounds were identified by stream distillation,47 compounds were identified by Solvent extraction, 51 compounds were identified by Microwave distillation,Their constituents represent of total mass of the volatile oils by three methods were 94.43%,91.66%and 95.14%.Conclusions It was found that microwave-assisted steam distillation has advantages of less extraction time, high extraction rate of volatile oil,low energy consumption,be helpful for medlar volatile oil of active material extraction.
