Abstract
Multinomial Logit model(MNL) based on the discrete choice theory is often used to solve the problem about multi-alternatives choice.A method for analyzing individual behavior of travel mode choice by this model was introduced. The approximate linear relation between mode-choice probability and attributes variables of travel modes was established under the assumption of linear utility function. In the end,an example of binary mode choice model is applied to illustrate its usage.
