Abstract
In this paper we introduce the definition and characteristics of forest ecosystem health. The stability, sustainability and integrity are forest ecosystem health assessment's objectives and criteria, and select a series of variables including forest ecosystem structure, organization, biodiversity,NPP,etc.as forest ecosystem health assessment indicators. And the conceptual model to assess forest ecosystem health is put forward. The comprehensive mathematical statistical methods are applied to quantify forest ecosystem health, and forest ecosystem health is managed dynamically on temporal and spatial-scales.
