Speculation on Some Issues about the Construction of Political Civilization

Abstract
This article aims to probe such issues as essence, universality and particularity of political civilization, significance and principle of socialist political civilization construction, and strategies and key factors of the current construction. The core of Socialist Political Civilization is high-level socialist democracy, and its essence is institutional civilization. The special characteristics of material civilization lie in advanced productive force, those of spiritual civilization in advanced culture, and those of political civilization in advanced institutions, especially democratic political institutions. Socialist political civilization is different from capitalist one and those of other types, but it also shares the general features of modern political civilization. The construction of socialist political civilization should focus on drawing on beneficial fruits of human political civilization, promoting China's democracy and legal system construction, and particularly constructing the institutions of anti-corruption.
