THE ANATOMIC STUDY OF THE ARTERIAL ANASTOMOSIS IN THE FRONTAL-TEMPORAL FLAP

Objective:To clarity the arterial anastomosis in the frontal-temporal flap To provide the anatomic data for clinic practice Methods:The 17 adults cadaveric heads were perfused with the red latex before the dissection The frontal branches of the superficial temporal artery and the supraorbital artery,and their relations were dissected and observed Results:The final rims of the frontal branch of the superficial temporal artery had averagely 3 4 rims There was one of the final rims of the frontal branches of the superficial temporal artery anastomosing straightway with the rim of the supraorbital artery in 22/34(sides),one communication the rim of the supraorbital artery in 8/34(sides),no communications in 4/34(sides) Conclusion:The mode of the anastomosis or communication between the fronal branches of the superficial temporal artery and the supraorbital artery is that the one of the final rims of the frontal branches of the superficial temporal artery anastomoses straightway with the rim of the supraorbital artery,or by one communications
