Abstract

Thermal Gravimetric (TG) analysis is used to study characteristics of five kinds of sewage sludge in terms of their pyrolysis and combustion. It has been showed that the combustion thermograms are close to the corresponding pyrolysis curve in the first part and then departure for non-stabilized sludge while two curves coincide well or with little departure for the anaerobically stabilized sludge. Experiments are also conducted with acid- washed sludge samples to test the effects of metal contents.
