Effect observation on clinical application of vacuum sealing drainage on the wounds repair in children

Objective To investigate the effect of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD) on the trauma in children.Methods From October 2008 to June 2011,35 children with large wounds were treated by vacuum sealing drainage and the wound was repaired by skin graft or skin flap translocation after the granulation tissue generated well and emerged on surface of tendon and periosteum.Results All patients recovered uneventfully in sensory and appearance after one to three times VSD surgery.Conclusion Vacuum sealing drainage can stimulate the growth of granulation tissue,shorten the pathogenesis and reduce the pain of patients.It had more clinical and social effects in children than in adult.
