Abstract

The imperial examination made great impacts on Chinese society in all aspects, with system civilization as medium. With time rolling around, some of these effects have become weaker, while some others are more outstanding, but the effect of the examination on Chinese society or even the history of human beings will be ever lasting. This is why we should face up to it in the process of China’s reform and development. Only in this way can our abundant historical resources be conserved, exploited and utilized.
