Abstract
Objective:To investigate the change of maternal serum interleukin-6 and interleukin-10 levels in preterm labor with chorioamnionitis, and to study the effect of IL-6 on monitoring preterm labor with chorioamnionitis and the function of IL-10 in the mechanism of maternal-fetal immune tolerance. Methods:Serum levels of IL-6 and IL-10 in 29 cases of preterm labor and 15 cases of normal term labor were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The partial placenta were detected after labor. Results:The level of serum IL-6 in preterm labor with chorioamnionitis was significantly higher than that of without chorioamnionitis and term labor.(P0.05).The lefel of IL-10 in preterm labor without chorioamnionitis was significantly higher than that of term labor,(P0.05).Conclusion:Maternal serum IL-6 is a useful marker for detection of preterm labor with intrauterine infection, and IL-10 may plays an important role in remain normal pregnancy.
