Abstract
Objective:To evaluate 3-dimensinal reconstruction with 64-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of urinary diseases.Methods:36 patients with urinary diseases were scanned by 64-slice spiral CT plain scan, renal dual phase enhanced scan and delayed scan respectively. The image data were 3-dimensinally reconstructed with post-processing technique.3-dimensinal images of the whole urinary system including renal calyx, renal pelvis, ureter and urinary bladder were clearly demonstrated in all the patients.Results:3-dimensinally reconstructed images with 64-slice spiral CT showed clearly the course of the urinary system, obstructed position and the lesions. In the 36 cases,19 urinary calculi,7 urinary tumors,7 duplex renal pelvis and ureter,2 abnormal position of kidney, and 1 posterior ureter of vena cava were diagnosed and all tumors were confirmed by surgical and pathological findings, and the others accorded with the results of ultrasonic. The coincidence rate of CT scan and clinical diagnosis was 100%.Conclusion:The 64-slice spiral CT 3-dimensinally reconstruction is a safe, reliable, convenient and super high-speed technique. It may provide high-resolution urinary images and can be a non-invasive imaging method in the diagnosis of urinary diseases.
