Abstract
An introduction was given to the gravity satellites CHAMP,GRACE,and GOCE and methods for dealing with the data of acceleration and calculating earth gravity field with observed data from gravity satellites. The principle of model development for recovery of earth gravity field based on energy conservation theory was discussed. The comparison of the earth gravity field model based on the observed data from CHAMP satellite and energy conservation theory with EGM96 gravity field model shows that CHAMP satellite is sensitive to medium and long wavelength of gravity field, and that energy conservation theory is effective for recovery of low-order potential coefficients of earth gravity field.
