A Rational Thought on "Western Linguistics Fever" in China

It's true that Western linguistics is broad and profound.However,for the most part,its theories are formed on the basis of Western languages.It remains to be further discussed whether these theories can play the same guide role for language learners with Chinese as their mother tongue.And it is evident that the difference between Chinese and Western languages is much wider than that between Western languages.Therefore,we should not ignore our own traditional linguistics at the time of learning and using Western linguistics for reference.
