In the conditions of the socialist market economy,market economy supports and protects people's utilitarian act as a way of economic organization with an interest mechanism as the driving force.But in reality,people's pursuit of their own interests at times has exceeded all moral limits to an unbridled extent and there exists materialism which seriously damages and disturbs the normal order of market economy.Therefore to treat material gains in a proper way in the the conditions of the socialist market economy is of great significance to constructing social justice theory in contemporary China first and then pushing forward the healthy development of the socialist market economy and build harmonious society.
