Abstract

Huizhou ancient village is an excellent type of Chinese traditional rural settlement.Famous for its particular landscape elements,the village's site selection comprehends unostentatious thinking of ecology and philosophy,and its construction is not only a rational but also perceptual practice.This article emphasizes on the landscape of village as a whole and tries to give inspiration to planning and design of modern community environment.
