On Ecological Rural Development in China

Abstract

Ecological rural development is an important measure of building a new socialist countryside in China.This paper discusses the problems existing in rural ecological environment from the aspects of rural ecological environment, basic conditions and peasants' awareness,pointing out the importance of speeding up rural ecological development.In addition,some measures are put forward,such as enhancing comprehensive environment improvement of township enterprises, perfecting system and mechanism construction,developing ecological agriculture,and carrying out ecological civilization education.In view of China's current situation and its own characteristics of rural ecological environment,a sustainable development model tailored to its actual rural conditions is presented,i.e.ecological rural development based on economic development,supported by scientific and technological application,implemented through government intervention,led by system innovation,guaranteed by legal system improvement,and guided by awareness development.
