Abstract
Taking Ziyin Oilfield in Baise area of Guangxi Province as an example, the seismic attribute analysis technology and its application to prediction of reservoirs in the oilfield were introduced. The seismic attribute analysis technology consists of three aspects. The first one is to pick all kinds of seismic attributes kept in the seismic data and associated with lithology and the physical characters of reservoir by various mathematics analysis methods. The second one is to optimize the seismic attributes on the basis of rough set (RS) theory. And the third one is to transform the reservoir parameters by combining interpretation results of the logging data in the project and to accomplish integration estimation for the reservoir by using multi attribute and predicted reservoir parameters. The application of real seismic data indicated that the seismic attribute analysis technology is efficient for the exploration and exploitation recycle period of an oilfield. The application results of this technology in Ziyin Oilfield may provide a reliable basis for oilfield production.
