The Comparison of the Revitalization of Moral Education in Contemporary East and West in Social Motivation

Moral education was valued again by a few main western developed countries and China in the late 1970s.It appeared a tendency of revitalization.It has all kinds of forms in moral education in east and west because of deep social cause.There are two most important reasons in the revitalization of moral education in contemporary China.One is the needs of the development in society and international situation.Another one is to adapt to the development of socialist market economy and the need of fostering of a new socialist man.There are also some important reasons in the revitalization of moral education in contemporary western developed countries.For example,a state of conflict between mental life and material life is more and more outstanding,the social moral problems occur repeatedly and moral education is faced with a serious crisis.At the same time,the influences of historical and cultural traditions to people and the promotion of the education reform also are the main reasons.China's moral education reform should be according to the reality,establish long-term plan and separate the executive power from the academic power gradually.We should create relaxed research atmosphere,enhance moral education in basic theoretical research and thus further improve the level of the moral education in the new era.And promote the development of people's moral quality healthy.
