Abstract

Aim To probe the expression of different protease activated receptors(PARs) in perihematoma in a rat intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) model preliminarily. Methods 20 rats were divided randomly into two groups: sham and ICH groups. An ICH model of rat was established by double injection and double withdrawal. All rats were killed to take brains after the models established 24 h, and frozen sections of brain were acquired. The positive cells of PAR-1/PAR-2/PAR-3/PAR-4 were probed by immunofluorescence. Results ①The expression of PAR-1 positive cells in perihematoma in ICH group was more than that in the sham group(P0.01). ② The immunofluorescence of PAR-2 was found in capillary vessel like tissue. There was no significant difference between the ICH group and the sham group. ③ No obvious immunofluorescence of PAR-3 or PAR-4 was probed in ICH model, so was in the sham. Conclusion The major thrombin receptor up-regulated in perihematoma 24 h after ICH in a rat model was PAR-1.
