Abstract

0bjective To investigate the feature of distributions of intramuscular nerves and motor endplates of the biceps femoris in rabbit. Methods Modified sihler's staining;Acetylcholinesterase staining. Results Biceps femoris was flat muscle in rabbit.Length and short of muscle fiber and arranging were differing.Long and short head had a main nerve trunk separately, every nerve main trunk sent out primary branches of differing number, and then, divided into numerous sencond branches.Distributions of intramuscular nerves of short head mainly were arboroid.and in long head mainly were sector-shaped.Acetylcholinesterase staining:on facies and inside of the biceps femoris in rabbit, length of those motor endplate bands were differ, this diffuse arrangement of endplates look as ifspeckle of tiger skin. Conclusions Distributions of intramuscular nerves and motor endplates of muscle biceps femoris of rabbit were related to spatial arrangement of the muscle fibres, their distributions feature accorded with that of flat muscles.
